Taha Meli Arvas graduated from Syracuse University with a double major in Bioengineering and Finance in 2002/2003. He later went on to get a master’s degree in Financial Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in International Finance. 

As an entrepreneur he founded several start-ups and has helped dozens of firms grew their businesses as well. 

Mr Arvas wrote for the Daily Sabah newspaper as a financial columnist and was also on editorial board of TRT World. He was recently appointed as Vice Chairman of the Capital Markets Board of Turkey, the regulatory body that oversees all financial exchanges in Turkey.
